As two mates headed back from the beach after going for a surf, the conversation came to some topics that might usually seem unfortunate or negative, but two words were picked out as meaningful. "Everything's Good". This optimism in the face of life's difficult times summed up the pragmatic approach of the boys. It wasn't literal, it wasn't always going to be true (life can be tough at times!) but it spoke to the bigger picture.
Inspired by this conversation, and the drive to start something outside a day-job, the brand came to life!
It’s not that we won’t feel happy or sad, but that we won’t be swept away by feelings that are based on an incomplete piece of the picture. Taking the context of everything into account often helps in realising we are bigger than any one event in our life.
Our work will never be complete, but underneath our attitude is the perspective that if we work at it, we can grow what's good and change lives for the better as we continuously learn and grow. Some of the good we do includes buying carbon offsets so that we are carbon neutral, and making quality clothes that are made to last so resources aren't wasted and you get value for money. We will continue to improve as we strike to make everything good.
Why not? Without the hope that we can make a change, we wont make a change. We urge everyone to take a solution-focused approach to life, making right where they see wrong, and patiently watching as the ripple effect occurs. We can all recall acts of kindness to ourselves and others, and how enriching and inspiring these experiences are. Goodness is infectious. So we encourage you to spread the good vibes, and enjoy the ride of life as it comes.
